Old Town Clovis

Clovis, located in Fresno County, California, began as a stop for the San Joaquin Valley Railroad in 1890. Over time, families and businesses moved in, taking advantage of the rich farmlands, Sierra Nevada timber, and temperate climate to build a thriving, picturesque town just north of the city of Fresno. Much of Old Town Clovis strives to maintain the town’s original charm and small-town feeling and acts as a magnet for visitors looking to escape the city and bask in the friendly atmosphere.

Sequoia National Park

South of Clovis, through Visalia and to the east lives the land of giant redwoods: Sequoia National Park. Home to the tallest trees on Earth, as well as some of the oldest, visitors come from around the world to experience the majesty of these massive trees in person.

Winery Tours

Just past Selma in Kingsburg are two of the most popular wineries in the area; the Kings River Winery and the Ramos Torres Winery. Both offer tours of the facility and grounds with sunset tastings that offer a feast for the eyes and the palette.

Clovis Botanical Gardens

Guided and self-guided tours allow visitors to explore the three-acre garden area filled with native plants that thrive in the unique environment so close to the mountains. Enthusiasts can relax in the soothing atmosphere or learn more about the garden’s ecological approach and get ideas for their own projects.

Kings Speedway

If speed is your passion, then the Kings Speedway in nearby Hanford is a must-see. The summertime sprint car races on the old-fashioned dirt track are a favorite of locals and draw racing enthusiasts from around the region for a good time on the cheap.
